Moti's Market is a kosher grocery story that also has a restaurant (Al Ha'esh, mentioned above). They are located at 4860 Boiling Brook Parkway, Rockville, MD 20852.

Shalom Kosher carries a wide array of kosher foods, including many prepared items. They are located at 1361 Lamberton Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20902.

Giant Supermarket carries kosher baked goods, cheese, and has a kosher frozen food section. They are located at 1280 East-West Highway #354, Silver Spring, MD, 20910.

Trader Joe's carries many kosher products as well. There are many locations, including 10741 Columbia Pike, Silver Spring, MD 20901.

The immediate area surrounding the shul in Washington, DC consists of mostly single-family homes. Downtown Silver Spring (0.6 - 1.5 miles away) is where most apartment rental properties are located.
