Between Israel & the Nations
Rabbinic literature is focused on developing a religious worldview and all encompassing lifestyle for Jews, and yet rabbinic texts were aware that Jews have always comprised no more than a small minority of humanity and, furthermore, lived alongside non-Jewish neighbors throughout the classic rabbinic period. In this two-part class we will explore how the particular and specific focus of rabbinic literature on Jews and Judaism, also inculcates a universal sensitivity towards all human beings.
In person at Ohev and Via Zoom here!
