DC Residents (or curious MD residents): DC council elections are coming up soon with three candidates running for the Ward 4 council seat - Janeese Lewis-George, Lisa Gore, and Paul Johnson - and for the first time, Ohev is hosting candidates for Q&A sessions.

As the DC legislature, the DC Council has an important impact on our community and life in DC generally, and we hope many of you will participate in this great opportunity to both understand the candidates' goals and help them understand our community and our needs.

Last week we hosted Paul Johnson. This week, please join us on May 25 at 6:45 PM to hear from Lisa Gore (and stay for mincha and seudah shlishit!). (Unfortunately Councilwoman Lewis-George is unable to join us). The candidate will deliver short remarks but most of the session will be devoted to Q&A, so bring your burning questions and concerns about the future of DC and Ward 4.

While hosted at Ohev, this event is not exclusive to Ohev members and Ohev will not be making any endorsements or recommendations as to candidates. The choice is yours, so come to be more informed!
