If you would like to host or be hosted for sedarim, please fill out the forms below. And if you would like any help arranging other Pesach meals please email MaharatRuth@ostns.org.

Before Pesach we have the custom to donate money for “Maot Chitim” (which literally means wheat money) to help those in need prepare for the holiday. We are collecting money for Maot Chitim that Maharat Friedman will distribute to those in need, and also using this as an opportunity to replenish our Chesed Fund which we use to distribute funds throughout the year. To contribute please go to www.ohevdc.org/donate and choose “Maot Chitim” from the drop down menu.
If you are in need of extra support during this time please do not hesitate to contact Maharat Friedman. We are here to help.

Eiruv Tavshilin
When Yom Tov begins on a Thursday night and extends into Shabbat , we need to make what is called an “Eiruv Tavshilin.” Because we are not supposed to prepare anything that we need for the future on Yom Tov, we should not be able to prepare for Shabbat on Yom Tov. This can present logistical challenges, so there is an opportunity to make what is known as an Eruv Tavshilin on Thursday so that we can prepare for Shabbat on Friday.
