Full COVID Guidelines - Updated October 2022
Ohev Sholom COVID-19 Guidelines
The following reflects Ohev Sholom’s COVID-19 Guidelines as of October 2022, established by the Board of Directors in consultation with the Public Health Task Force. These Guidelines remain subject to change, as warranted by evolving circumstances.
We are committed to keeping our community safe – and you all play a key role in that effort. Above all, it is critical to stay home if you are experiencing any symptoms (including cold symptoms) or have reason to believe you may be infected with COVID-19. As a reminder, it is permissible for those with symptoms concerning for COVID infection to use a rapid COVID test on Shabbat or Yom Tov.
Thank you for your support and cooperation in keeping Ohev safe. If you have any questions, please email board@ostns.org.
COVID-19 Vaccination
Ohev Sholom strongly encourages every eligible individual to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before attending indoor tefillah or other activities at the shul. However, based on the advice of public health advisors, and in accordance with guidance from the CDC and DC Department of Health, the Board of Directors has determined that it is no longer necessary to require specific vaccination milestones or boosters. [Members and guests who attend Ohev events without the protection of vaccinations assume responsibility for any resulting exposure.]
Registration: It is no longer necessary to register for services in advance. In the unlikely event there is a case of Covid in our community of someone who has attended services, we believe that there is a robust communication network/list serves that will enable us to get the word out and alert people.
We will continue to provide Zoom access to all non-Shabbat services. If you have any comments or questions about Shul's COVID policy, please email board@ostns.org.
