Don't forget to make an eruv tavshilin!
Eiruv Tavshilin
When Yom Tov begins on a Thursday night and extends into Shabbat , we need to make what is called an “Eiruv Tavshilin.” Because we are not supposed to prepare anything that we need for the future on Yom Tov, we should not be able to prepare for Shabbat on Yom Tov. This can present logistical challenges, so there is an opportunity to make what is known as an Eruv Tavshilin on Thursday so that we can prepare for Shabbat on Friday. The instructions for making an eiruv tavshilin can be found here.
