Mazel Tov to Team Purple for bringing the Jewish Basketball League title home to Ohev by winning the championship game this past Sunday at the Rockville JCC! Made up of players from Ohev, Tifereth Israel, and Ohr Kodesh, Team Purple completed an undefeated 10-win season by downing B'nai Israel in the semifinals and Adas Israel in the finals. Yasher koach to the entire roster: Ari Blumenthal, Cyrus Blumenthal, Lucas Lutzky, Milo Lutzky, Evan Pearlman, Eitan Netter, Simon Reich, Ari Skolnick Einhorn and coach Marshall Einhorn!!!
The community is invited this week for a kiddush luncheon in honor of all of our graduates. There is also a special women's tefilah Kabbalat Shabbat, and Shacharit, in celebration. Click on the link below to watch the Ohev Graduation video . Mazel tov!
Seudah Shlishit this Shabbat is sponsored by Rena and Seth Opert in memory of Seth's father, whose second yahrtzeit starts motzei shabbat.
Here is a message from Seth: With the start of summer and camp around the corner for many, we thought we'd get our voices warmed up with some singing. I've attached the official slow shira song sheet from Moshava IO where Leora and Abby attend camp. Below are some links to recordings in case you want to familiarize yourselves with the songs we'll be singing. What better way to close out graduation shabbat than to sing together as a community. Looking forward to seeing you.
The Board President is holding open office hours after shacharit on Monday morning June 12, in the Chadar Tikvah. Come share your opinions and questions!
