Scholar-in-Residence Opportunities March 15 & 16 with Rabbi Dani Segal including Shabbat morning Drasha & Seudah Shlishit shiur.
Rabbi Dani Segal is part of an elite delegation of 12 rabbis from The Shalom Hartman Institute’s Israeli Rabbis Network (Rabbanut Yisraelit) who are teaching at synagogues across denominations throughout North America and learning about North American Jewish life and communities in March 2024.
In addition to spending Shabbat in local synagogue communities, Rabbi Segal and the visiting rabbis will participate in a three-day educational seminar on North American Judaism and Jewish Peoplehood at the Shalom Hartman Institute in New York.
Since October 7 and through the subsequent Israel-Hamas war, these rabbis have been providing spiritual, pastoral, and psychosocial support to hundreds of evacuees from Southern and Northern Israel, wounded soldiers, and families of hostages. Their visit to North American Jewish communities exemplifies a commitment to strengthening ties between Israeli and North American Jewry and underscores their dedication to learning about North American Jewish life and communities.
