See Talia's bio below to learn more about her background, and feel free to reach out and introduce yourself once she has started!
Talia Rasiel (she/her) is so excited to be joining the Ohev team as Youth Director! Originally from Chapel Hill, North Carolina (go Duke!), Talia went to boarding school in western Massachusetts and did a gap year in Israel before making her way to the DC area. In 2022, she graduated from American University where she received a BA in Jewish Studies with a minor in Israel Studies. She is currently finishing her first of three years pursuing a master's in Jewish Education from Hebrew College. Talia is coming to us from Washington Hebrew Congregation where she spent 2 years as the Education Coordinator for the Religious School. At Washington Hebrew, she developed curriculum for the Religious School, worked on youth programming for grades 2-12, performed a myriad of administrative duties (by choice - she loves a well-organized Excel sheet), among other responsibilities. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, watching Israeli shows on Netflix (ask her for recommendations!), and hanging out with her cats, Matzah Ball and Latke.
