Shabbat Morning Youth Groups - To maintain decorum and safety and security, we ask that all children under Bar/Bat Mitzvah remain in the sanctuary during davening or else participate in youth group programming. Thank you for your cooperation.
Tots (ages 18M - 3 years): Babysitting available beginning at 9:15am in the Tots Room. Tot Shabbat will begin at 11:00am. Parent participation is encouraged for this family program, but babysitting will remain available and ongoing until the end of services.
Shabbat Club (Prek4-Kindergarten): 10:15am in the Chadar Tikvah. J-Minyan (1st - 5th grade): 10:15am in the Chapel.
Excessive Heat Warning This weekend, the DC area is expecting extreme heat conditions this weekend. We want to remind all congregants to stay hydrated and in shade where possible. Extra water will also be provided at the entrance to shul. We are grateful to have working air conditioning and look forward to seeing you at shul over Shabbat.

Orthodoxy, Non-Orthodoxy & Ohev Sholom: New Opportunities in Post-Denominational Age 06/26/24 Wednesday night (7:15 - 8:15 PM) Rabbi David Wolkenfeld
This session will examine some core philosophical texts from 20th century interdenominational polemics to discuss ways that they do and do not remain relevant for contemporary dilemmas. The recently developed recommendations concerning Minyan Ro’eh will be used as a case study.

Counting the Omer with our Afghan Neighbors Ohev Sholom is aiding in the resettlement of two families who are refugees from Afghanistan. We are seeking 49 individuals/families to donate $36-90 per month for one year in order to help our new neighbors resettle with dignity (as of this Shabbat we are at 25).
