Saturday October 5, ~12:30PM (following kiddush) - Shabbat Shuvah Shiur with Rabbanit Sara Wolkenfeld titled “Intention in the Attention Economy: Kavanah on Rosh Hashanah” Intentionality is important all year long, but the classic Talmudic sources that teach about intention and mitzvot center on the mitzvah of hearing the shofar. We will learn about the roots and implications of the idea of kavanah (intentionality), as well as discuss how we might apply these lessons in the attention economy of 5785. Saturday, October 26 at 4:55 PM - The Jewish Calendar Controversy of 922 CE (and 2024 CE?) Join Professor Ben Dreyfus for an informative and historical discussion as he shares how the Jewish calendar was calculated historically and its relevance today in 2024.

The Community Jewish Book Drive is BACK! Rabbi Uri Topolosky is leading an effort to collect any unwanted Jewish books/paper/sheimos again for the entire month of November during school hours. at the Berman Hebrew Academy.
As a WBR initiative, we ask every shul to try and sign up for at least one day to come with a few volunteers and help sort books for recycle/resale/burial.
